When I was under the hood today, I noticed a black plastic tube that was round up top and started to get flat as it went down. It's to the left of the brake fluid reservoir and the tube is right under the "hump" of the firewall. I am thinking it's a drain of some sort? I can't tell. It's not connected and I wanted to know what it is.

Thanks!

So what's it suppose to look like hooked up? Is it suppose to be UNDER the bolt right there near the brake reservoir or on top of it?

The rectangle like pipe? With a flat mouth?

I'm pretty sure that's a drain for condensation from the A/C. My car would always smell musty, and one day I found that, stuck my fingers inside and it was full of leaves.

How leaves got in there I'll never know, but after removing them it was no longer musty.
