My battery light comes on under full throttle.

Anyone seen this one before?

Also, the headlights dim when the a/c compressor engages.

Typical cause is worn brushes and / or commutator ring in the alt. Brushes can easily be replaced for a few$$.

That's what I was thinking, but wasn't sure.

I've never replaced the brushes in an alternator before.

Looks simple.

After I get a chance to mess with it, I'll let you know how it goes.

Iirc, you can remove 4 torx screws (t15?) for the regulator on the rear of the alt., and then have access to 2 more interior ones for the brush assy.

Good to know.

Thanks!

Hopefully, I'll have time to mess with it within the next few days.

Happens to me very rarely under WOT with a brand new alternator. Happened to me with my bad alternator too.... So i wonder if there really is something wrong or not?

Interesting to hear.

With mine, this tends to happen everytime under full throttle.
