I've read & read & read... Is there a diy for installing an aux input where the changer harness plugs in? I'd rather not spend $90 for the premade one & I'd rather not solder inside the radio face & sacrifice my cd player + have some weird blank cd for using my aux

If all else fails I suppose I'll just save up for that $90 harness!

Thanks

I had the same issue, I wanted to keep the stock look of the radio, but I wanted to have an aux port. I went to Etsy on 1FactoryRadio`s page and bought a radio with a preinstalled jack. It cost a bit more, but is definitely worth it.

Ask them to send you the "Radio Removal Tool". As you`ll need it to remove the radio.

Make sure you tell them what year Taurus you have, depending on which year you may have to switch the rear ports on the radio. But since you already have a CD player it may just be plug and play.
