Auto To Manual Conversion On A Gen 4

I think you're the first to do it on a G4, but a G2 version has been done and a G1 version is in the works.

Your the first to attempt and hopefully complete. Do you have a dura or vulcan. Also, what are you looking at for a tranny?

I have a vulcan and am goin to a pick and pull to find a tranny. As far as I know there aren't any Gen 4's with a manual transmission so I'm gonna figure something out with an older generation.

I believe you are the first one... The only thing you're going to find in the pick and pull from a Taurus is a Gen I/II SHO 5 speed or an old MT-5 one, but those are probably pretty rare. I have no idea if either of those will bolt up to a vulcan though...

I wonder if the Mazda 6 has the same bolt pattern on the transaxle as a g4 tec? doesn't the g4 tec have the same transmission bolt pattern as the tec, should that not be relatively simple to do? or am I out of my mind.
