Hi:

My headlights no longer turn on after it gets dark however the parking light do come automatically on. I use to hear a relay click on when the headlights come on at dusk, but no longer. I purchased a sentinal relay but I really do not know what the problem is as I can't locate this relay. I very much appreciate any assistance; I'n stuck!

Check the Topic Finder link at the top, it's been discussed here before Unfortunately, a common problem at least for 2000-1 Tauruses and Sables with the Auto Lamp feature. In Auto mode, my lights stay on full time, whether its bright and sunny or pitch black.

On my 97 it was one of the mini relays in the engine bay panel. No clue on a Gen 4 though.
