I'll be moving from Maryland to Bridgeport, Connecticut for college and i wanted to know if a trans cooler will have an impact on my trans in a cold climate.

Trans coolers are not ever necessary. If you want to lengthen the life of your tranny it is a good idea to get one.

In very cold climates such as -20F it will take 10-20 miles for the tranny to warm up enough top properly work.

It's just an accessorie. Something to improve life of the tranny. If you're out spinning the wheels all the time... then ok, it then may be a "bear" nesseccity.

yeah. if you remember that you've got a taurus and not a porsche, and you treatyour car good, then you'll be okay.

they do help prolong the life of yer tranny though.
