My 17 year old son replaced his spark plugs and wires on a 2003 Ford Taurus SE. he said that the car is now running a bit sluggish upon acceleration. Is there a chance that the wires could have been run incorrectly(the wrong wire run to the wrong plug)? is that possible? Would the car run if the wires were put on wrong? I just thought that I would ask before taking off all of the wires to check. Thanks!

Unless they are crossed up on the same coil you should expect a misfire if they are wrong. Suspect he may have knocked something else, a vacuum line perhaps, loose. The firing orders and a decent diagram are in the Topic Finder. Any codes? Please add your engine to your user profile to help us help you.
