For 4T1BG... I got the following answer :

The VIN you supplied, "4T1BG22K7VU154616", is invalid. Please check the number for accuracy and try again below.

- The letters "I", "O", and "Q" never appear in a VIN.
- The VIN must be exactly 17 characters in length.
- The CARFAX database contains information for cars manufactured from 1981 through the present.

It's 17 long, no I, O or Q, so is it older then 1981?

no, its not before 81. its my friends 98 or 99 Camry. and I wrote the VIN# the exact same way it was on his VIN Plate at the windshield

if I see him tomorrow I'll check on his registration, or other parts of his car and find out what they have there. hmm.
