2005 Ford Taurus SE, 130K miles

When the car is moving at speeds above 20 miles per hour, I’m getting a strange, intermittent whistling / grinding / static sort of noise. To me it appears to be coming from the front end of the vehicle. The car is running fine, but the noise has become more pronounced with time over the past 6 months, so I’ve decided it’s time to investigate.

I do not hear it when the car is idling or moving slowly. It happens regardless of whether I've got my foot on the accelerator or not. Overall it seems pretty random; some days it will even be completely absent.

Here's a link to a video where you can hear the noise 3 or 4 times around 5 seconds, 8 seconds, and right before the end: Link

The only issue I know of with the car (besides this noise) are the rotors that are a little warped. Planning to replace those in a few months when I have some more free time. I only drive this car 300-500 miles per month locally, so I feel comfortable waiting.

Thanks in advance for any tips or advice!
