when i start my car it dies right away it tries to stay running but just dies...but when i start it if i push in the gas and rev it up a little it seems to stay running but still rough and when i put it in gear and rev a lil it is fine and when you drive around town it runs great no sign of problem just when you start it ...any one got any ideas?

my dad suggested that it might be some bad gas or some gas with water in it...but wouldnt this cause rough idleing all the time?

Well, I don't think it's the gas because my old Dodge had this same problem, but we used the expensive gas (Chevron).

Did you try cleaning your IAC and or replace it yet? There is multiple posts of this problem try using the search engine to find more on this
