Another Damaged Bull

Well, we had a big storm tonight with a TON of hail and 80+ MPH winds. I was at my office when it started. It started raining, then hailing, then it looked like a Tornado was coming so we went inside and took cover. When it died down a bit, we went outside to see hail EVERYWHERE. It was still hailing and beating the crap out of everything. It ruined the siding on the building and on neighboring houses. Trees went down, people had broken windows on their houses, wet leaves completely covered the roads making slick as ice. Tons of damage!! My car got it pretty good. She's all dented up, haven't really been able to inspect her closely, but the roof got it bad, the hood got it, some on the doors, couldn't really see the trunk and it blew out my passenger side tail light. I'll post pics tomorrow.

The week before ROTB - I'll never get this fixed in time. The shops will be booked solid for weeks I'm sure. I already called to file an insurance claim, too - just what I need. This really sucks. :angry:

That's horrible.. My car believe it or not has some hail damage.. it's not very noticable though.. about a million little dents covering the hood roof and trunk though.. if you're looking for them you'll find them. Oh, it's not an original california car.. I rescued it from the rusty, hail prone, Illinois... (Not that there's anything wrong with Illinios.

)

Man...i think I might have started this rash of beatings when that drunk hit me.

I'm sorry to hear that. My car has a few very small dents from hail, which is wierd, because we really don't get hail that much in Jersey. I think I've seen it all of three times since I've been cognizant enough to know what it is...

I'm about to garage my car for awhile until all this bad luck stops happening to Taurus owners. I think Bush is behind all this!

No...it's not Bush's fault, it's Rumsfeld and Rice's fault. They had the faulty intelligence that led us to believe that our Bull's are impervious from damage!!!

BTW...we did find Sarin yesterday...not that it has anything to do with this thread...

Dude that sucks. I hope you can get it fixed without too much pain. Is this the year God deemed as "kill the bull" year?

BTW, we're gonna get the storms you got yesterday. I hope we don't get it that bad.

Bummer Jason. That really does suck right before ROTB. Whats gona happen to the car? Are you gona drive it with all the little dents or what?

I was too tired/lazy/sick of dealing with crap to get pics up today....

Yeah, if they can't get it fixed in time, I'll be at ROTB with a dented up car. <_< :shrugs:

that sucks Jason, sorry to hear...

my sister just bought a brand new Focus - 2 days before she actually bought it we had a bad storm with hail... there are a bunch of dents on the hood, roof, and trunk but she got a thousand bucks knocked off the price for them. The best part is, most of them will probably pop themselves out when it gets warm enough. The metal is thin enough for it to happen... the same goes for the taurus too I would imagine.

Wow... hopefully she can get them fixed for less than $1k! There is a huge Ford dealership near me and they said every car on their lot was damaged from the storm!

I don't know what they're going to do about that. :shrugs: I'm going to wait until after ROTB to work on getting my car fixed back up because I want to take it to a really good body shop and see if there is any excuse they can find to need to repaint the car.

If so, I'll have them paint it that beautiful "Ford Blue" B) Then the few scratches and stuff I have will be gone, too.

Sorry to hear about the car. Hopefully you can get a good deal on repairing all those dent. Nice thing bout living here in NY is no big hail. Just freezing rain 1 to 2 inches thick.
