So michakaveli and I both have the leak on our cars, on the passenger side footwell. We both know about the "fix" with silicone, around the gasket where it meets the body and around the end of the gasket where its overlapped by the AC drain.

Instead of placing silicone, wondering if purchasing a new gasket/seal is this press fitted into the firewall? And if replacement of this would cure the leak.

I use to go to one in Aroma Park. It was amazing....

Had to Google what Aroma Park was...makes sense now :)

Here's an idea michakaveli had: Buy a new one of those gaskets that go around the drain, and coat it with silicone (at least the inside so even if it starts falling apart it would be fine and hold up).

Here is a picture of the firewall sans engine...you can see the drain below those 3 hoses on the passenger side:
