To start with i have the digital climate control. I have aftermarket speakers and aftermarket amps in my Gen4 Taurus. I've got the line level converter connected off of the rear speaker leads under the rear deck. Heres where it gets funny. My right side connects normal with both wires speaker leads connecting to the converter. On the left I can only hook up the positive wire for the left side to work. If I leave only the right side connected my sub works fine, as soon as I hook up the left side the sound gets somewhat thinner and I lose my sub??? Not sure what the problem is but anything to look for would be a great help.

I think your line level adapter is fubar. Try to return it and get another one.

I have two converters that are good and they both do this. If I wire in an aftermarket radio just lying in my lap all the speakers work like they should.
