We talking the 3.0 SHO, 3.0 Vulcan, or the 3.0 Duratec... and what year?

Three very different motors.

(Wait, was there a 3.0 SHO, or just 3.2 and 3.4?)

According to his profile, a 1991 Vulcan. And yes, there was a 3.0 Yamaha engine in the earlier SHO's (until 91) and then I THINK it was continued in the MTX Gen 2's, while the ATX got the 3.2.

3.0 Yamaha V6 SHO 1989-1992 all (no ATX)
3.0 Yamaha V6 SHO 1993-1995 MTX
3.2 Yamaha V6 SHO 1993-1995 ATX
3.4 Cosworth V8 SHO 1996-1999 All (no MTX)
5 sp Transaxles were Mazda parts, and if you had the correct Bellhousing from a Windstar van, the motor could be mated with a 5 speed to fit a rear wheel drive configuration

How would you advance the timing on a 99 vulcan?
with a chip

Is this serious, or is there some other way to take care of it manually in a Gen III Vulcan?

If not, what chip maker would you recommend? Superchips? Diablo?

I was serious. Gen III and up Bulls do not have distributors, so you cannot advance timing manually. If you want a chip get ahold of our new vendor American Motorsport.

Hey guys,
I am new with modifying my tauri, what would the timing advance do? Is it easy to do? Will it help/hurt the engine?
