Hello guys,

I added LED's to the rear-reflector portion of my car Taurus on both sides. I wired it up so it only comes on when the brakes are pushed and not with the running lights. It looks really cool. Here are some pics!

i am in the process of moutning truck LEDs inside the outer tails

2 for brakes and 2 for turns

its going to look sick!
good luck with that project, another that I have wanted to work on, but only gone through the brain storming phase so far. are you getting the LED truck assemblies from www.superbrightleds.com or somewhere similar? be sure to take pics of teh whole thing, someday I'd like to try to do it!

Nice job.. Now im not the only one with 5 brake lights..
!!

I was gunna re-do mine with LEDs, but it looks like you beat me to it.. lol good job

looks awesome, do you have any details on how you did that? should be pretty simple, but for cutting up an expensive part, better to have all the info before you start right? I'm going to try that one of these days, those reflectors are too tempting

Got a night shot from far away?
I'd also like to see some pictures from far away. To see what they really look like

**Edit... Maybe a picture like this.. [/b]
I thought the inner bulbs lit up with the brakes too.

Here is a pic of me standing back from it for those of you who wanted to see a "distance" shot.

As for a write up, there wasn't much to it.

We took a soldering iron to it to melt the plastic for the LED's. Stuck the LED's in there...and then wired it up to the 3rd brake light.

The finished product is what you see!
