i was at my homie's house today and i went to start my car and the car kinda "killed" itself.

:(

i freaked a little and started again, this time, giving it a little gas, and after 5 seconds, it ran like new, like always.
it only does this when the car is warm, and only for a few weeks during season change from winter to spring/summer.
the barometer needle looks like a tach.

My theory is that the air pressure plays a part in this.

i'm lost as to what to do, if anything, or is this just a vulcan/season/taurus thing?

My 97 sable does this too, same everything.

The Taurus has original plugs, etc. fresh maybe?

also, used Full Synthetic motorcraft 5w30 and filter at 96,023 mile change

96K on the car currently

Start with a tune-up...plugs, wires, cap, rotor, filters, etc. You may have carbon tracks on your distributor cap shorting out now that humidity is going up.

Sounds like you don't have fuel pressure. Next time, try priming it by turning the key a couple of times without starting it. See if it comes to live instantly now. My bull does the same thing, it sometimes doesn't hold its fuel pressure. I have isolated it to the fuel pump, but I have never replaced, because I don't really care.
