In other words:

96-97 Model Lineup was:
G/GL--Base, Vulcan
LX--Upscale, Duratec

98-99:
LX--Base Vulcan
SE--Upscale, still had vulcan, but Duratec was an option.

*sigh* Ah, the lowly GL...... I still love her though!!! hehehehee
Well at least the gl wasn't the lowest, the G would make the GL look like an LX in comparison hehe [/b]
lol. ill be lucky if i can afford a Taurus G. Im gona need to get a loan. while im at it...did ford put ABS standard on the 96/97 G,GL and 98/99 lx?

firespirit-At least you got da bull

LOpan--If I remember correctly, in VA you gota have a plate on the front and the back of the car? VA law change? Im just curious, thats all.

I think so. My GL came standard with ABS.. Chris's GL came with leather and the floor shifter.. Mine came with Cloth and the colmn shifter....

What about worn-in dirt and road salt Jer? My carpets have 11 years of abuse put into them, and they aren't thanking me for it.

Also, how can you remove smoke odors out of the car? Last, and this maybe out of your department, how can I get crushed seats to look new(er)?

I'd love to see a detail-off, but I don't think either one of these guys is gonna let their cars get dirty enough to notice

A good stiff brush and my woolite mix.... 6 parts distilled water, 1 part woolite. Scrub with the mix, Shop vac dry. The brush will agitate it. Unless you use an extracter
As for crushed seats, a stiff brush. You really can't do much to worn material unfortunately
Smoke... that is abit of a pain, but the best thing to use is febreeze that I know of. I haven't messed with getting smoke smells out too much.

My car dirty? Never!
Check the QEW thread, that is as dirty as it ever gets

Biteableniles-

No mine are not mirror like. I know what you are talking about tho. Seems like my cars missed that "era" of shiny rims. Although I really don't like them.

Sheep-

That is a very VERY nice looking car. Excellent job.
