Hey gang. I was bored, so I decided to see what the wheels look like without the center caps. I totally dig it. Seems to give it a much more sporty look. I painted the front hub things black so they matched the back as well.

Me and Elliot(mobiuslogic) were kinda working together on CAI fabrication, and with his infinite wisdom told me to move the maf closer to the tb for better throttle response. It worked like a charm.

So, without further adeu....

eh...

The decorative center caps dont really provide much moisture protection anyhow, plus i sprayed rust preventative coating on it. If something messes up though, the caps are returning most definately.

I went to the site you gave for your exhaust and CAI and it didn't list anything specifically for an 00 to 04 Taurus/Sable. So, you put together your own systems? Why don't you put together a how-to for each one? Where, exactly, is your K&N filter? Are you running a true dual exhaust system from the heads all the way back to the rear bumper? How difficult was it to make and hang the system? Is it a low rumble or a loud system? I see a how-to on taking out the resonator and installing a Cherry Bomb in its place. I don't want that kind of noise.

You should paint the centre caps black, and put them back on and see how it would look. It looks ok in the photos, but when I see cars runnign around without them it looks like some kids stole them or they fell off.

Either way, though your car is awesome (love the exhaust)

If that turns out good, I might steal the idea... I was likin' that look when I had to take my caps off to run on the track at Gingerman... hmm... I do have a spare set of center caps to play with... :) Although, my car isn't dark... might only look good on a dark car
