i am writing from western australia re my 1996 taurus v6 duratec's air con system.i see that there was a service bulletin in june,02 re this problem.
could anyone please help and tell me what the problem was and cure as i have been getting a similar smell inside the car.Thanks Eddy

I did this:

removed the air filter under the cowl. tuurned the blower to high. and sprayed
lysol anti bacterial (mild dew remover) spray in there for it to be sucked up......

then leave the fax running for about 20 mins wil all windows open...

make sure the spray you use does not leave any residue...
