OK. The A/C used to work on this vehicle but know it doesn't. I've had other pressing engine and electrical issues that are now fixed and can't remember when the A/C first went inoperable. The clutch plate never engages the compressor pulley and thus no A/C. Is there an A/C relay that may be he cause? 15 amp A/C fuse is good. Electrical connector at the rear of the compressor is good. Don't know if there's a ground short somewhere in the A/C circuit, and have not checked. Thanks.

The system has to be charged with refrigerant before the a/c clutch will work.
There's a cutoff switch on the accumulator.

Also, when I went to the auto parts store (called Schuck's - aka O'Reilly) with model, yr, and engine size asking for the A/C relay (didn't know if their was one or not), I was supplied with a $10 automotive type relay. I figured they new what they were looking at on the store parts counter computer.

The a/c relay in the Integrated Relay Control Module is a "solid state transistor relay".
The relay is operated by the engine computer (pin 54). Would be hard to replace with a standard relay.
