Ok so I go out to my Taurus the other day and my raido was on without the key being in it and the doors were locked. I have no idea why this happened or what the cause is. Any help is appreceated.

after i did my jensen DVD player with a single din dash kit, it did this for a few days, just redid a few connections and it was good not really sure what the problem was but it definetly didnt happen on its one.

Loose wire, perhaps an intermittent ground somewhere? Or a ground going to a hot wire by mistake (assuming there is proper ground elsewhere)?

yea the car is bone stock. I was reading up on some other things and i think it may be the transmition range swithch? not really sure though

Usually that turns off the radio with the "radio mute" voltage. Never heard of turning it on... Once you remove the key it should not have the power anymore for that.

Maybe is the switch in the key contact? becaus the radio is usually "ON" all the time, and it receives (or not) the power from the key switch.
