Maybe I didn't search hard enough, but I was wondering something. I currently have a 97 Taurus GL, with the 12v engine. I was wondering if it would be easier to get another car (cost wise) or if would cost too much to get the 24v DOCH engine. The reason I am asking, is I beleive that the engine I have may finally died. Thanks alot for any help you guys can give me.

Ditto; taurusii have bad depreciation compared to other cars; it would be cheaper to get a new one than doing the engine swap (unless you are really attached to your current car
)
