I am in the process of re-installing the rocker arms and push rods after a head gasket install. I did not place engine at TDC compression before removing rockers and push rods so I'm trying to tell if my TDC mark is on the compression stroke. I have the diagram that starts with TDC, rotate 360 then do certain rockers then rotate 120 degrees and do the others on the first torque round.

My question.. can I just rotate crank by hand and tighten a rocker arm bolt when its lifter is bottomed out? Just do all rockers this way.. lifter bottomed out..
