i was thinking about buying a 1993 ford ranger, i went and checked it out and it looked great, it has 101,000 miles on it, what do you think about it price wise?

anyone have a ranger in this time pperiod with an auto tranny

What engine does it have? Is it a 4X4? The trucks hold value, especially with the 4X4. I have been hanging around http://www.ranger-forums.com, do some searching aorund. There are many who have trucks of your vintage. It speaks volumes on how durable they are.
