It's May 8th.

Here are directions from their website:

Address: 2691 Roods Lake Rd. Lapeer, MI.

From I-75: Take Exit 81 (Palace of Auburn Hills). Go North on M-24 to Lapeer. Go Approx. 3 miles north of Lapeer to Daley Road and turn right. Go 2 miles to Roods Lake Road and turn left. Go 1.5 miles on Roods Lake Road and Lapeer International Dragway is on the left.

From I-69: Take exit 155 and go north on M-24 to Lapeer. Go Approx. 3 miles north of Lapeer to Daley Road and turn right. Go 2 miles to Roods Lake Road and turn left. Go 1.5 miles on Roods Lake Road and Lapeer International Dragway is on the left.

Hope you can make it!

To be a bit picky...... ;-)

Daley Road is about 5 miles north of I-69. When you see the BP station on your right (east side of the street), the next light is Daley Road.
Does anyone have a time when everything starts? I may be a little late, I have to help my brother move for awhile....

The track officially opens at Noon, and they will start running around 12:30 or so. We usually show up around that time. They they go to 5-6 PM or so before they shut down, depending on the number of cars, etc.
How much does it cost to get in and stuff?

IIRC I think it was maybe $10 or $20 to get in and then $5 for helmet rental.

The info is on the Website, but it's:

$25 to run the car
$10 for spectators
$5 for a helmet rental if you don't have one.
Well, if everything works & doesn't break on me...

5/3/04 - Running the 91 SHO at Watkins Glen.
5/7/04 - Running the 91 SHO at Summit Point, then driving overnight to get to Michigan for...
5/8/04 - Running the 91 SHO at Lapeer. I'm still running the stock MTX from last fall in there, but the Quaife'd MTX is ready to drop in, providing I have the time to do it. I also have the Roll bar that needs installing, and I have to get in some better Wilwood pads before. I want to replace the rod bearings as well, as I'm up to about 10-15k on the engine since it was built. Oh, and getting insurance on the car so I can drive it would be good.
We're trying to get Kirk's 91 up & running in time too for that 3-peat too.

But the plan is to make all 3 events with the 91. I definitely want to revisit the track that claimed my MTX last fall.

Gonna bring that new tranny with you???? ;-)

Probably don't want to here this, but when I blew the diff pins in the '95, I had the tranny totally rebuilt, and the next time at Lapeer I blew the diff pins AGAIN!!

Hope I didn't set some kind of a bad SHO precedent!!

Anyway, we will be doing the 4th Annual Lapeer "Fall" Drag Meet in October, so there's always another shot for this year!!

Glad to hear that you guys plan on coming in May!!

Thanks for the clarification Ron, I will probably need it.
I have yet to find Lapeer myself, I've always followed somebody there.

Jason you will be following someone once again since you guys will be staying at my place, and Sarah let me know if you wanna come and i'll meet you somewhere and you can follow us up there or ride along with us. Also Fred try and break the tranny when your ACTUALLY racing not when doing a track dryoff run...
The plus will get it's first track runs at lapeer, that is hoping nothing happens between then and now or at the track.
