Well, we are doing it again this Fall! The date is Saturday October 23rd at
Lapeer Dragway:

We do these events in the Spring (usually early May) and the Fall (usually October).

Saturdays are Test-N-Tune at Lapeer, and for $25 you can get a LOT of runs in
($10 for spectators/non-drivers). Please note that a helmet is required for all cars
running. Any helmet will do, and they also rent helmets at the track for $5.

It will be our "usual" routine of a gathering at Big Buck Brewery in Auburn Hills
on Friday night (http://www.bigbuck.com/), the track on Saturday, then dinner in
Lapeer on Saturday after the track. Then, back to Big Buck to hear all of the lame excuses!

If anyone needs hotel info, email me, but there are a lot of hotels near Big
Buck in Auburn Hills on Opdyke, like Motel 6, Holiday Inn Express, Marriott
Courtyard (walking distance to Big Buck). WRT Big Buck Brewery,
the Marriott Courtyard is right next door, and Eck, Hurder, Doucette stayed
there last time (and most likely this time, also). The Fairfield Inn is next
door to the Marriott. The cheapest is the Motel 6. I would recommend at least getting
a hotel for Saturday night (if you don't join the Friday festivities) as Saturday is a long day.

Across the intersection of University Drive/Opdyke (close to Big Buck, but
need to drive to them) are the Motel 6, Holiday Inn Select, Hampton Inn,
Comfort Inn, Candlewood Suites, Amerisuites, and a few others.

All of these hotels are in Auburn Hills, MI, and most likely have Opdyke
Road addresses. They are right at Exit 79 on I-75 (University Drive exit).
Go west on University, and Opdyke is the first light.

I will also post this to the various SHO lists, but any car is welcome!

In other posts, Don Mallinson (SHO Club) and Bob Gervais (TCCA) have set up a
Track Day at Gingerman in South Haven, MI. Folks can run Gingerman, then it is
a 3-hour drive to the hotels in Auburn Hills for the Lapeer Day on Saturday.

Sort of a "Mini Convention" in the Fall!
