He specifically said they will fit. However, a minimum 6.5" wide rim is recommended for 225mm wide tires. All stock gen 4 rims are only 6" wide. That said, I'm currently running 225/50 16's on 6" wide rims, and I have run 245mm wide tires on 6.5" wide rims before. Just don't drive like an idiot and you should be okay.

Are you saying that the 225/60/16s will not fit?

225/60-16 is a bit too tall and wide. Your speedo will be off a little bit... you'll actually be traveling faster than what your speedo says. Roughly 75mph when the speedo says 70mph. 225/55-16 will be a better match for the speedo, but again 225 is a little wide for a 6" rim. The tires will look "balloony". The wide tire on the narrower rim will not help handling. The car will have more body roll as the sidewall will have too much flex. 225/60-16 would be even worse.

Yes you can use them and they will fit, but I would not recommend it for wet or snowy conditions. If you want a cushy ride on straight dry roads... yes, they'd be great.

Not over sized but mis matched sizes will screw up the ABS. I was running 225/60/16s in the back and 225/50/16s in the front. About 1.5" diffrence in height. After 5 miles it would turn the ABS off.
