2015 3.5 issue

The wife’s 2015 Taurus lost power while driving, then went into a low rough idle (250-500 rpm) for about a minute before dying. Now the car will turn over idle real rough for about 5 seconds then die again. Codes popping up are p2195 p2197. I’ve never had a car have 2 O2 sensors go out at the same time, and I’ve never had an O2 sensor cause these symptoms. Anyone else dealt with this? Any advice is appreciated.

That sounds more like a major vacuum leak than an O2 sensor issue. Is the CEL on?

Yeah the CEL is on
I’d start by checking some of the things in this list. Why won’t my car start? - Comprehensive No-Start...

It’s for the older models but most of this is common across any cars, really.

I appreciate the link
Please post what you found the problem to be and how you fixed it. If you haven't yet found the solution, perhaps it's the fuel pump module. Our 2013 died suddenly a couple blocks from home last January. And it was the fuel pump module that's located behind the rear passenger side seat.

Dealer p/n GA8Z 9D370 A. $37.93. Probably more than that now...

Right now it’s still a mystery. Replaced the fuel pump module but that didn’t fix the issue. Talked to a ford tech and they said clean the MAF sensor or try replacing the throttle position sensor. If neither work it’s going to have to go to a shop because it needs a deeper diagnosis than I can perform. Will update when new info comes through.
I recommend replacing the MAF. I had a hard start issue that went undiagnosed (dealer even couldn’t figure it out), cleaning the MAF didn’t work, and then I replaced the MAF and all was good.

So after everything cleaning the MAF fixed it. All I can say is it’s a confusing problem with a simple fix.

Indeed, but if it works don't knock it too much.
Lol I’m not I’m glad it was an easy fix just hard to diagnose

One time I forgot to reconnect the MAF sensor after some work. Oh boy, felt like the engine was going to explode.
