I would like to know what the solution was to fix your air conditioner: mine works fine but leaks out in 3 days.

Thank you very much!

Since there are so many possible leak areas, I was trying to get an idea what was the component that failed most often-(o-rings, compressor, etc). So I was hoping owners could share what component they had to fix to get their's fixed.

I put 2 compressors in my 06 500 and an evaporator. Had the car 10 years (in Texas) and sold it with 215K miles. AC is a necessity down here to go any where.

You should add dye to find a leak. I have had a rusted accumulator, three hoses fail from rusted ferrules and a leak at a good ferrule. Never had o-ring leak but service valves leaks are common. Also the compressor seal can leak but I have not had that issue in 25 years of driving these cars.
