I know your are to drive the car around and then check the fluid level in park...

however before I knew that when I check it cold the fluid level is Super high on the tranny dip stick.... is that normal...

its 4 inches past the cross area.....

Very high when not running is normal.

Also, should be very level. Dipstick is in the back of the pan so not only important side to side, front to back also.

Also, you should pull the dip stick out, wipe it clean then re insert it, take it out again for a more accurate measurement.

Agree, and when you wipe it, use a paper towel. If black/gray comes off on the towel, you are overdue for fluid change.
