So I just finished replacing the transaxle in my 2003 Taurus. The splines that drive the pump shaft sheared off on the torque converter.

I went with the remanufactured unit from Ford. 3 yr. unlimited mileage warranty. It was a monster job. Also did the oil pan gasket while I was under there.

Anyway. I've been driving it for about 2 days. The check engine light is ON. Also, the transaxle "slips" occasionally when starting from a stop. For some reason particularly when starting from a stop and turning left (like into a parking lot). Aside from that it's generally working fine.

Anyway, I'm sure there is some weird sequence of things that is supposed to be done to calibrate the PCM. Any suggestions anybody can offer would be great.

Thanks,
Jake
