2003 Taurus SE. Car produces little to no heat.
The car has been flushed 2 times. The heater core, radiator, over flow are all new. Even one of the heads and both head gaskets are new. The compression is also good. The car does not over heat and runs quite well. The blend gate actuators appear to function fine (I see the linkage and the shaft ends) I notice a shift in temperature when I turn the temp knob, but the heat is still laughable. I'm pulling out my hair trying to isolate this cause. I did do a forum search but did not find anyone who had replaced everything I had, and the suggestions all addressed things I've done. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Was the thermostat replaced and if was a 197 degree one install which should be a Motorcraft brand.. It does make a difference. Whats the temp gauge look like, in the middle? Are the temperatures of the hoses leading to and from the heatercore the same and hot to the touch.

There's another similar new thread about no heat and I think you might have the same cause. Check for a broken/cracked vacuum line leading into the the firewall on the passenger side engine compartment. It's a small plastic line about the same size and same general area as the washer fluid line.

It is a new thermostat but I am unaware what it is rated for. Given the cost, I may just opt for the 197F Motorcraft one you mentioned. One of the hoses was definitely hot if I remember correctly. I will need to recheck.

This is extremely helpful. I will definitely do this. I greatly appreciate all your help guys, thank you. Soon as I figure this out I will let you know what it was. If anyone else has any suggestions I would love to hear them.
