Not sure if I've posted this before...

I've got a 2003 Taurus with a 3.0L Vulcan V6. Every time I punch it down, at 3500RPM, it hesitates badly, until I take my foot of the accelerator. Also, if I put the transmission in L, and try to drive it at 3500 RPM, it does the same thing, bogs down until I lower the RPM and drive it below 3500.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

If you're in Park or Neutral, then that's the rev limiter kicking in.

If you're in a forward gear, it's possible that you have a misfire.
