My Taurus is just 500 miles away from 200K. I ordered it from the factory just how I wanted it and I have been very pleased with it.

The issue I am having is that on hot days when the temp get over 85 degrees the car will get to almost the H on the temp gaugue. It will then stay there for a while or get to it and then drop back down to 3/4. When it gets that hot the issue is the AC turns off which make sitting on leather seat kind of uncomfortable. I replaced the thermostat and verified that the fans are coming on nomally.

I also checked to make sure that AC is charged and operating normally.

You need to fix the overheating condition immediately, even if it means replacing most of your cooling system parts. At 200K it wouldn't be unusual to need a radiator, water pump, and hoses. That's an all-aluminum engine, and you're playing Russian roulette running it near the H mark.
