I am trying to buy a used car and spotted this one in craigslist. It is a 2002 sable GS @ 46k miles. It would be a sweet deal except the owner told me this car has some electrical problems. He said

there are some maintenence lights on in the dash. they have to do with a short circuit in the wheel module that controls the "smart traction" component of the braking system. totally useless if you know how to drive (react correctly to snow and ice) but the short circuit is making the anti-lock break, the service engine, and the traction off lights come on.

Has anyone here got similar problems? And can you tell me your experience to fix it?

Thanks!!!!

Hmmm there is an issue with cars that have traction control...something in the ABS box below the battery tray disables your ABS and traction control system. No one has been able to crack the box open and identify the issue...everyone just replaces it.
