Hello All;
Due to my own screwup, the threads are shot at the beginning of the bolt, when I was trying to get the bolt to go through the rack, so it can be removed. I stripped the heck out of the beginning threads.
I tried to put the nut on it, and well, we all know how that went.
Anyway, I need a replacement, any idea's on where to find one online or elsewhere, besides the obvious, if lucky that is, a junkyard?
A tap and Dye set will not help this one out.

You should be able to get a replacement bolt without the knurling at a good hardware store that sells flanged metric bolts. I have an ACE hardware that sells them near by. The knurling helps to stop the bolt from turning but if you can get a socket on the bolt you shouldn't need it. I would get a grade 8 bolt.
