Hello all.
Please help me to identify this sensor?
It broke this evening while I was replacing the Power Steering Switch.
I'm assuming while I was trying to get a good angle with my arm, to get to the PS Switch, I came down on it.

Positioned under the manifold/driver-side

Thank you
Wayne

Maybe, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor??
Also, the car will run, and without issue.
So the little wire that is hanging on, it does the job.
So, I will be able to go to work tomorrow and pick up the part on the way back home.

Just need to know for certain on rather it is the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor or something else.

Replace the ECT with a Motorcraft part, not some made in the third world POS part from the discount parts store.

Ford used the same ECT over many years and models. They should be readily available.

carrzkiss, check Rockauto for engine coolant temperature sensor (ect) or coolant temperature sensor (cts). On my gen3 tecs there were 2 sensors/senders. Grey/black was the 2 wire sensor for the pcm. Brown was the 1 wire sender/switch for the dash gauge. Sometime on the gen4's Ford switched to 1 sensor to perform both duties.
