Hello all.
Please help me to identify this sensor?
It broke this evening while I was replacing the Power Steering Switch.
I'm assuming while I was trying to get a good angle with my arm, to get to the PS Switch, I came down on it.
Maybe, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor??
Also, the car will run, and without issue.
So the little wire that is hanging on, it does the job.
So, I will be able to go to work tomorrow and pick up the part on the way back home.
Just need to know for certain on rather it is the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor or something else.

What color is the broken plastic part? Grey, brown or black? It's either the ect sensor for the pcm or the coolant sender for the dash. Dunno, maybe by '01 Ford went to 1 sensor for both?
Looking at the picture, it looks possibly Grey.
I have already had a shower and don't feel like messing with it again this evening.
I will find out tomorrow for certain what color it is and post back.
Wires going into the plug itself, = 2
So that would be the PCM Sensor?
Checked and cannot find one for it.
Could you please provide more details about this item, so I can check it against Advance or Zone?
Thanks.
carrzkiss, check Rockauto for engine coolant temperature sensor (ect) or coolant temperature sensor (cts). On my gen3 tecs there were 2 sensors/senders. Grey/black was the 2 wire sensor for the pcm. Brown was the 1 wire sender/switch for the dash gauge. Sometime on the gen4's Ford switched to 1 sensor to perform both duties.
