Hi,

I am having a lot of trouble changing the blower motor on my fourth generation Taurus (2000). While there are a lot of threads regarding the motor and the resistor malfunctioning, I wasn't able to find information on the actual removal and replacement of the motor.

The motor is clearly visible behind the glove compartment which is easily swung all the way down. There are 2 screws holding the motor in the front and I believe that there is at-least 1 screw in the rear.

I cant for the life of me get to this rear screw. For anyone who has replaced their blower motor, can you offer any suggestions? Am I missing something?

Thank you.

You do have the black plastic pass. kick shield removed? After that, unplug and remove mounting bolts with 1/4 in. dr. ratchet, ext(s). and socket.
