I have a 2000 ford taurus that had transmission issues the other day. It was 100 degrees outside and the transmission was slipping when I was driving up a hill. I later pulled into a parking lot and red transmission fluid was leaking everywhere from under the car. The car was still on but would not move forward even though it was still in gear. I parked it and called a tow truck to have it towed to my mechanic. By the time he got the vehicle, it was no longer leaking fluid and would drive normally. He added fluid and could not get it to duplicate the issue or leak any fluid. Now I have no idea what to do as something went wrong and seemed serious but now the car runs fine with no leaks. Today I drove it for the same amount of time as the other day and it was near 100 outside. Any help is appreciated.

Check tranny vent on top of tranny for possible plug up. Do a search here.... this issue and solutions has been discussed many times before.
