HI guys, I own a 2000 ford taurus DOHC 3.0L 24 Valve at 93,000 miles

and its due for a tune up. I know that some cars have to have their distributor caps and roters changed.

My dad said that this model doesnt have any spark plug wires or distributors or roters. So what would I have changed?

So far I have

Oil Filter
Air Filter
Spark Plugs.

Thanks

Spark plugs should be Motorcraft or Autolite... you may have problems with other brands. There is no distributor, cap or rotor. The 2000 year model Duratec uses coil-on-plug ignition. They do not require any maintenance, but occasionally fail. At 93k miles, you may need a new coil or two before long.

Air filter should be done every 15k (with the paper element). Fuel filter should be done every 30k.

On top of the basic "tune up" stuff, regular maintenance should include coolant, transmission, and brake fluid flushes every 2 years or 30k miles.
