Always had multiple hesitation when nailing it on the freeway. Engine wants to hesitate at 35-40 MPH. Now at idle seems like it wants to stall. Took it to Belle Tire, mechanic says no problems. Changed fuel filter, air filter, wires, and plugs. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Idle problem - First place to look after doing everything you did is cleaning the IAC valve with brake cleaner or replacing it if you can afford to.

Also cleaning the MAF cleaner with MAF cleaner won't hurt.

Throttle body might be a little carbony and need to be hit up with a tootbrush and brake cleaner as well.

+1 on cleaning the IAC valve. We have a fleet of E-150 vans at work, with the 4.6L engine. One of them got to where it would hardly idle at all. This high school kid who works part-time took the IAC off the intake and spent some time making it shine like new. Right away the van ran great!
