I have a 2000 Ford Taurus which started a few weeks ago not putting out warm air when heat turned on. This past weekend I replaced the thermostat and also noticed my old thermostat had rust on it so I put some cleaner/sealer in with 50/650 antifreeze. Ran it and never got real warm air . The temperature gage keeps about 1/2 way once the engine is warmed up. But, I was looking under the hood and the A/C lines were cold. That seems strange to me. I do not have the A/C on and I am not running the defrost.

Can anyone help me? I hate running a car in cold weather without heater that works?
