I have 2 questions Would my car overheat if i need an oil change? Would my car overheat if my temperature sensor is bad?

Are you doing your oil changes regularly?

If the temp sensor is bad, I would imagine the car could overheat if its not sensing it right? :dunno:

Your car will overheat if you're long overdue for an oil change (like the oil is so thick it might as well be a solid long overdue).

Chances are if it's overheating it's probably one of these:

  • Low coolant
  • Bad thermostat
  • Bad water pump
  • Blown head gasket
  • Clogged cooling system
  • Rusty coolant
