Where's a good place to jack up using a floor jack on a 1999 Taurus. I can see the sub frame about 10 inches inside of the factory jack points. Would that be Ok? I would like to lift the front or rear end so both front or rear wheels are in air at the same time.

Thanks
Madison

Those locations are OK if you use a good floor jack. Issue is where do you put the jackstands which are needed for safety. Front location I use are the heavy unibody attachment points for the subframe but rear is a bit more of an issue. It depends on your body condition because of corrosion.

what ever you do,
DO NOT jack up a high mileage older taurus on the unibody sides.
front subframe is fine
i put a couple of wood scraps on my floor jack in the rear and jack the
bumper when the support attaches to it.

I fixed mine as I expect to jack up one at a time for brakes, tire rotation and such. 1/8" X 3" stock from Lowes works just fine. Pays to inspect them before then crumple like I did.

In the front I always jack under the subframe. If I place the floor jack right under the rear subframe bolt then I've got room to place the jack stand right in front of it.
