Hi,
i have a 1998 mercury sable, usually when i try and start the car when its cold i have to give it gas or it wont turnover or it'll turnover and if i dont give it gas it would just turn back off, is there some time of part that has to be replaced or what do i have to do to stop this?

When you say you have to give it gas or it won't turn over, you mean it won't stay running without you giving it gas? When you say "turning over' that usually means cranking the engine to start it. The gas pedal has nothing to do with the engine cranking, and it should also start without you giving it gas. If it stalls once you start it, then you likely need a new IAC, which could also be causing your idling problem in your other thread.
