I need to change the brakes on my dads 98' contour. and i need to remove the front wheel bearings so i can remove the old rotors. the problem is is that my largest socket wont fit. does anybody here by chance know what size i need.

PS: the car is broke down temporarily so i can't drive it to a parts store.

DUDE... you don't have to remove the wheel bearing assy. to get the rotor off!
Once you have the caliper & bracket off, the rotor should come right off. Maybe you'll have to tap on the hub face a little, but ya' do not need to mess w/the bearing! If the bearing IS bad (loose/noisey) it has to be pressed out of the hub assy. Not an easy or fun task! Take it to a pro for that.
