The trunk light in my 2013 Taurus has been out for a while. Finally got around to swapping it out only to find that the bulb is not the problem. I tried three different LEDs and one standard 578 festoon bulb and the most I got was a bit of flickering from the LEDs. The standard bulbs don't light up at all. The fuse is fine and no issues with the glove box or other dome lights on that fuse. Any ideas on how to fix this? Electrical work might be out of my ballpark.

The fuse for my trunk light is located in the BCM module down by the drivers kick panel. When I replaced my light with a LED, I touched both wires and blow the fuse, they are real close together. IIRC mine was fuse #7.
