I have a an 03 SEL with 14x,xbox miles on it. Car is mechanically incredible and has really turned me towards the cars. However the kid I traded my truck fo for it overfilled the tranny. Not a lot where the whole thing is screwed but enough that when I am goin up the Big Mountain Roadway to my job it does shift a little hard. I know it needs to be pretty much drained and just add the fluid back till it's the right level. But no idea how. HELP!!!!

This is a semi joke:

1) Fully depress the transmission vent cover cap
2) Slightly pop out the transmission dipstick

The system will self adjust transmission fluid level especially when fully warmed up.

You can place a drip pan under the engine compartment after parking to avoid having to clean up the spilt fluid.

As Sheila noted, inexpensive hand pump with a hose small enough to fit the transmission dipstick tube.

Unless it’s new looking I’d replace with new if you drain too much.
