  1. New BULL / E85 Question

5th and 6th Gen Engine and Drivetrain
I just upgraded from a 2015 SEL to a 2013.5 SHO (pics up soon). The gas cap says "no E20-E85" and there are no flex fuel markings on the car. What would I need to replace on the car to get it to be able to run E85 without breaking anything? (other than my wallet?) :D
  2. 2017 Limited> 255/45/19 Eagle RS-A's ride like Steel?

5th-6th Gen Aesthetics, Interior, Wheels, Tires
I run Pirelli Scorpio Verde 235/55 r18 on my SEL and they are the best tires I have ever had on a vehicle. Stick like glue and are silent as the grave.
  3. 2013 Taurus Capless fuel filler

5th and 6th Gen Maintenance and Repair
This is the only one that I could find on Amazon besides the Ford Genuine...
  4. What Engine Oil do you use?

5th and 6th Gen Maintenance and Repair
I use CarQuest (Valvoline OE, i believe) Full Synthetic 5W-20 and a Purolator Boss Filter - usually costs me $35 or so for each change - and I usually change every 5000 miles.
  5. Low Brake Pressure

    Suspension, Handling and Brakes
Might be a break in the brake line somewhere. Check for leaks along the brake lines and cracks in the master cylinder/brake booster if you can get under the car. If that and bleeding doesn't help, make sure to double check the brake hardware (the springs and clips with the pads) - I had a...
  6. 6F50/6F55 Hard Shift

5th and 6th Gen Maintenance and Repair
What are the most likely candidates for malfunctioning sensors on a 2015 Taurus starting to hard shift? 140k miles. Most of the hard shifts happen from 2nd/3rd and 3rd/4th changes and are more likely to happen when the car is still warming up (first 20 minutes or so of driving). Fluids are...
  7. Replacing Serpentine belt

5th and 6th Gen Engine and Drivetrain
Super easy - you need 3 things: - The longest 3/8 drive ratchet you can find, or any way you can get some leverage on the ratchet. - A good new belt - Dayco sells some at box stores if you really need to, but try to find Goodyear/Continental if you can. -...
  8. Oil "Blow-By" Inside Intake

5th and 6th Gen Engine and Drivetrain
I did some coil packs the other day and it had a fair amount of oil coating the inside of the intake manifold. I'd say as long as it's not dripping from the intake Plenum, you should be okay as the gasoline will remove most from the valves and cylinders.
  9. Bigger Throttle Body for 2015 NA 3.5?

  10. 2016 Limited Brake Upgrade

5th and 6th Gen Suspension, Handling and Brakes
This may sound odd - But I recently changed the brakes on my 2015 SEL and I accidentally put the front hardware springs in the wrong fitting holes (I can't remember which one was correct, I believe it was the "top" hole). When I went to test drive/break in, the pedal travel was incredible each...
  11. K&N Cold Air Intake.

5th and 6th Gen Engine and Drivetrain
I have one and I think the sound is incredible. That being said, I haven't noticed any performance gains (didn't expect to until I get a tune) and I get maybe .2 MPG better going at highway speeds. If anything I get worse mileage in the city right now because the sound just sounds so good to...
