    Aesthetics, Interior, Wheels and Tires
I prefer to see if someone else has successfully tried it before I piss my money away thanks.
  2. Crown Vic centre caps on gen4 taurus

    Aesthetics, Interior, Wheels and Tires
So caps from a CVPI won't fit a Taurus? I was told the bolt pattern is slightly smaller than a CVPI and you could just bend the little tabs that latch on to the lugs. I'm talking about the "dog dish" type, not the scalloped type that go over each of the lug nuts.
  3. Grinding noise from rear brake?

    Suspension, Handling and Brakes
Hi gang, just recently I've noticed that there is a very apparent grinding noise from my driver's side rear wheel when I use the brakes. I've noticed it only happens after the car has been sitting for several hours. I drive the car about 100kms every day so the brakes are getting regular use...
  4. Rear fog light ideas.

    Aesthetics, Interior, Wheels and Tires
Well I was just kinda thinking about it... And I wanted some opinions on my opinion too I guess...
  5. Rear fog light ideas.

    Aesthetics, Interior, Wheels and Tires
I'm not quite advanced enough to cut holes in my bumper, but thanks for the ideas... I was thinking about modifying my existing taillamps... Say if I ran a line to my trunk and tapped into the brake light wire on the driver's side brake light (on the G3 the brake lights are the inside light)...
  6. Rear fog light ideas.

    Aesthetics, Interior, Wheels and Tires
And as your own reference says "The allowable range of intensity for a rear fog lamp is 150 to 300 candelas,[15] which is within the range of a U.S. stop lamp." You said they are no brighter than American tail lamps...
  7. Rear fog light ideas.

    Aesthetics, Interior, Wheels and Tires
If european style rear fog lights aren't brighter than regular tail lamps, why do they exist??
  8. Rear fog light ideas.

    Aesthetics, Interior, Wheels and Tires
What you suggested is putting a spotlight on the back of my car and painting it with model paint... Thanks but no thanks.
  9. Rear fog light ideas.

    Aesthetics, Interior, Wheels and Tires
Thanks for the replies guys... I don't think you really understand what a rear fog light is... A rear fog is a red light on the back of a car that is brighter than a typical tail light so that vehicles behind you can see you better during low visibility situations... As I said, I would have...
  10. Rear fog light ideas.

    Aesthetics, Interior, Wheels and Tires
In the past week, I've had to drive through solidly thick fog to and from work several times. I've always wanted a rear fog light, but this experience has really got me thinking seriously. I would also like to get one for any winter snow storms I will inevitably driving through this winter...
  11. Electrical problems on 99 Vulcan

    Maintenance and Repair
My dad seems to think it's not the alternator but a connection between the alternator and battery or another loose connection somewhere... I dunno, gonna get it tested tomorrow.
  12. Electrical problems on 99 Vulcan

    Maintenance and Repair
I had posted this in another thread but it doesn't seem to be getting much attention there so I thought I'd make it's own thread... I had a problem today with my battery light... I was driving to work like I do every day (about a 30 minute commute) except today it was raining pretty steadily...
  13. Mpg...

    Maintenance and Repair
I check and record my mileage every single time I fill up and I find that in the summer I average around 23 mpgs with mostly highway driving. These first few weeks of fall, I've been getting 25-26 mpgs consistently. If I did more city driving these would be down significantly.
  14. 2002 3.0 Vulcan alternator problems

    Maintenance and Repair
I had a problem today with my battery light... I was driving to work like I do every day (about a 30 minute commute) except today it was raining pretty steadily for the entire drive. I've driven in rain like this before and never had a problem. However, today, half way to work my battery light...

  16. 2000 A/C compressor cycling on/off w/sucking sound

    Taurus and Sable General Discussion
Unless you can find the leak yourself somehow... Shops have the proper equipment that's required to do leak tests and the shade tree mechanic usually doesn't... I don't know what to tell you about the sucking noise though. I would never use the A/C is it's sucking in outside air though!
  17. Fuel filler neck help

    Maintenance and Repair
Lately I've been getting an SES light for a small evap leak just about every other day and I know its the one where you are loosing gas tank pressure. I know people say it's a bad gas cap or that I put a fuel additive in my gas tank and I forgot to take the foil off, but I know it's neither of...
  18. DRL's not working

    Electronics, Security, Audio and Visual
They are all garbage. If you get a used one, chances are it will be faulty too. My car has already had 2 modules and the lights are starting to flicker again.
